On iOS 27 the picture is the pass. Older iPhones and Google Wallet show the card, in your colour.

Google Wallet is coming to the demo soon. For now, try it on an iPhone, or open this page on a computer and scan the code with an iPhone.
Nothing to type and no sign-up. Demo passes are deleted after 24 hours.
This is the pass on your phone. Change its colour or the poster to update it.
This updates the pass you made, on your phone too: the same pass, restyled.
A different kind is a new pass. The first stays on your phone until it expires.
